Not every hairstyle on the runway is or becomes a trend. Hairstyles will always come down to a number of things – hair type, length, face shape and personal preference – but that doesn't mean we can't look to the fashion world for inspiration and new ideas with each new season.

Spring 2014 hairstyles: key trends.
As the seasons get warmer again, we'll be searching for spring hairstyles and summer hairstyles for 2014 that feel fresh and on-point, but without the requirement to spend hours in front of the mirror each morning. The milkmaid braid is one of spring's crowning glories, deceptively complex but high in impact. More hairstyles evolve with deep side parts, and soft flowing waves – as always – leave some imprint on the imagination for those carefree summer days.
