The Pakistani singer turned actor visited the sets of KBC to promote his upcoming film alongside co-stars Parineeti Chopra and Ranveer Singh…
Ali Zaffar is on cloud nine. Not only did he get to sketch Amitabh Bachchan ‘live’, he also got to sing his favourite Bachchan songs in front of his idol! Ali who will be seen next in the upcoming Kill Dil had gone on the sets of KBC recently along with his co-stars Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra. “I am a huge fan of Bachchan, I have grown up watching his films and songs. I used to draw as a child, and I had taken a sketch of Amitabh that I had done when I was a 13-year-old kid. When I gifted it to him he adored it and asked me to draw him ‘live’, as the episode was going on. It was a dream- come-true,” gushes Ali.Consequently, when his co-stars were playing the game, Ali got busy sketching a picture of Big B. That’s not all. When the superstar asked him to sing, the Pakistani singer-actor was more than ready. “It was an impromptu performance but I know most of his songs. So I sang a medley of his old hits including Chookar mere mann ko, My name is Anthony Gonsalves, Angrezi mein kehte hai, Jaha teri yeh nazar hai and Yeh dosti with an acoustic guitar,” says the actor who can’t contain his joy. Remind him that he has met Bachchan before and the latter has even praised him for his acting and singing abilities and Ali says, “Yes he has, but this was a fantastic experience. What made it special was the fact that I could draw him live.”
