Holi in Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke is nothing, but a series of misundersandings. Sonal (Chandrika Shah) is dating KT (Piyush Sachdev) but is jealous of his friendship with Rachna (Mahima Makhwana). She has been falsely telling Rachna that KT likes her and during Holi the lies get reinforced. When KT is chasing Sonal to put colour, Rachna runs in between and KT ends up applying colour on her. Rachna is now convinced he likes her but since she has no feelings for him, she is ticked off.
Most shows have couples getting romantic in the garb of applying colour, but in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, it’s being used to carry out a sinister plot. Even as Astha (Shrenu Parikh) and Shlok (Avinash Sachdev) are celebrating Holi, someone tries to kill Astha by mixing acid in the colour, giving an important twist to the edgy drama!
Dhruv (Ruslaan Mumtaaz) wants to be the first one to splash colour on Saanchi (Sangeeta Ghosh). Ankita (Hunar Hali), who is in love with Dhruv, gets to know of this and decides to play spoil sport, creating tension all around.
Bhagwatai (Gauri) who has been tyring to create trouble between the the newly-married couple Sakshi and Karan (Karan Sharma) succeeds in creating a rift during Holi. With a little hera pheri, she ensures that Sakshi (Krystle D’Souza) drinks bhaang. What follows is a riotous scene with a tipsy Sakshi applying colour on dadi, who considers it taboo. Plus her mother-in-law who hates anyone consuming alchohol gets upset with Sakshi and there’s trouble ahead.
Raghav (Ashish Choudhary) has already made his feelings for Kalpi (Rachna Parulkar) evident but so far she hasn’t reciprocated. Finally, on Holi she gives in and coyly applies colour on Raghav’s face. Raghav is besides himself with joy and takes the opportunity to get touchy-feely with Kalpi, sealing their love for each other.
Matters come to a head between the married couple Samrat (Mohit Malik) and Urmi (Neha Marda) and she finally takes a stand against him. During the celebrations Urmi hears about a woman whose husband is cheating on her. Enraged she wants to confront the cheating husband and support the woman, but Samrat, who is controlling her, doesn’t like it. When Urmi argues he slaps her! Urmi then decides to pack her bags and leave the house, thus rebelling against her chauvinistic husband for the first time.
The sitcom uses Holi as a means to bring in Karisma Tanna for a cameo as Vicky’s (Ali Asgar) childhood friend. This upsets Jeannie (Rubina Dilaik) who has feelings for Vicky.
The serial brings Lath Maar Holi, celebrated in a big way in Mathura on the small-screen. It’s a custom where men are hit by women with sticks! Poonam’s (Ishita Dutta) parents, who have finally come to stay with Akash (Rahul Sharma) take this oppotunity to beat him up, playfully of course.
Saras (Gautam Rode) and Kumud (Jennifer Winget) got married after a lot of hurdles and this will be their first Holi. What better way than Holi for getting close and intimate! So, of course there will be sweet moments with Saras determined to splash colour on her and she refusing. What follows is romance a la Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam with the two walking through a crowd, but with eyes only for each other. Sigh!
Anshuman (Iqbal Khan) who has been trying to get rid of his wife Paakhi (Shraddha Arya) has brought his girlfriend Tanya (Madhura Naik) home. Paakhi challenges Tanya to be a better wife than her and take care of Anshuman’s son Ayaan a la Biwi No .1! During Holi, Tanya tries to create trouble by mixing bhaang in Anshuman and Paakhi’s drinks. But Anshuman has already started falling for Paakhi and applies sindoor on her forehead. This leads to some initmate moments between the two and though it is under the influence of bhaang, it will be the beginning of their romance.
