According to the Times of India veteran Bollywood scriptwriter Salim Khan has revealed his son Salman Khan hasn’t had an alcoholic drink and neither have smoked once over the past three years.
Salman, who had undergone a surgery in 2011 after suffering from trigeminal neuralgia, was advised by doctors to refrain from drinking and smoking.
Salim opened up about how his son managed to fight off his urges.

The Times of India quoted as Salim saying, "whenever Salman has a strong urge, he pours out a drink and keeps the glass in front of him. But he never takes a sip. He just sits with it and after a while the urge subsides."
The 78-year-old said Salman had learnt these tricks from his close friend.
"For several months, he used to hold an unlit cigarette in his hand. Someone suggested that this would do the trick, and it did. Soon, he even stopped feeling the need to hold that cigarette," he added.
