L'Wren and Mick had just bought £6m home, says in-law

Sir Mick Jagger and L’Wren Scott recently bought a £6 million ($10m) home in New York and planned to settle down, according to Scott’s brother-in-law.
The Rolling Stones frontman, 70, had decided to put an end to his lifestyle of touring around the world, going from hotel to hotel, and wanted to spend more time with his 49-year-old girlfriend, Rob Shane told an American newspaper.
It has been claimed that Scott, a fashion designer, had decided to shut her debt-ridden business, and had told aids that she would make the move public this week. LS Fashion Ltd was running at a loss of £3.5m, and although Sir Mick gave support, Scott decided there was no point in it continuing.
She was found dead in her apartment on Monday. The New York City medical examiner’s office confirmed she had killed herself.
An autopsy completed on her body that she died of hanging, according to Julie Bolcer, a spokesman for the city medical examiner. Police confirmed she had not left a note.

Mr Shane, the husband of Scott’s sister Jan, told the Daily News: “Mick had recently decided to end his hotel lifestyle, and I understand they had just bought a $10 million home in New York.”
Sir Mick was in Australia with the band ahead of a tour when he heard his partner took her own life.
He was said to be so distraught by the suicide of his girlfriend of 13 years that he could not contemplate flying to New York to help organise her funeral in the immediate days after, but he was pictured leaving Perth Airport alongside his bandmates on Thursday afternoon.
The Rolling Stones have cancelled a seven–date tour of Australia and New Zealand, although speculation that the band might now split up were "rubbish", sources said.
