Form province for Urdu speaking Sindhis if you don’t like them: Altaf

LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has said that the Sindh province has been mistreated by the government of Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah.

Addressing a gathering in Hyderabad via telephone, the MQM chief said: “If they don’t like Urdu speaking Sindhis, they should make a separate province for them.”

Altaf Hussain appealed to his party workers to carry the baton forward regardless of what happens to him.

"No matter what happens to me, promise me you will remain faithful to the party," said Altaf.

Defending the former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, Altaf Hussain said that Article 6 also applies on General (retd) Ashfaq Pervez Kayani and former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

Advising Bilwal Bhutto Zardari to think twice before saying something against someone, Hussain said the former was like a nephew to him.

He told the rally that he was anticipating an anti-Altaf Hussain campaign kicking off tomorrow, however, he added that the party’s struggle for a Pakistan corruption-free would continue, come what may.
