5 ideas for New Year’s Makeup

How insane is it that 2013 is already ending? This year has flown by so fast, it feels like yesterday it was just January. Since most of us are celebrating New Year’s, whether you are having a people over your house or you are going to a party. We always want to glamourize our looks when welcoming the New Year. Here are 5 ideas to stand out and look beautiful:

Glitter
Holidays are all about the glitter, but you need to use them wisely. Start with putting primer or concealer all over your eyes, you can have a good base for the glitter. Use bold light color underneath your glitter like silver or gold, so you can let your glittery shadow appear. When using glittery loose shadow, make sure to have a damp brush so you would avoid glitter fall out all over your face.
Red Lips
The Hollywood worked on Marilyn Monroe and Rita Heyworth, it will never fail you. To have a sexy old glamour pout, make sure you are using true red. Since it is New Year’s Eve and you can go a little bit crazy, you can add some shimmery gloss to your red lips and you are good to go.

 

Smokey 
This look always dramatize your look and makes your eyes look bigger. This year try a new take on smokey eyes and go for dark plum color or blue. When doing a smokey bold look for the eyes try to focus on the outer side of your eyelid with the dark colors. When you have dark colors over your lid and crease, brighten up your tear duct and brow bone with light colors such as white and neutral.
Vampy Lips
In my opinion, this is the craziest most fun trend of winter 13/14. The vampy lip is usually dark plum colored lips, sometimes it’s completely black; but we are not going to go there. When coloring your lips this dark, you need to have a very dark lip liner to star with. Make sure your lipstick is matte and hydrating, this way you won’t look overdone or chapped in the same time. To make your lips really appear, apply concealer around your lips so you can have a pair of really dark clear lips.
Pinup eyes
In 2013, pin up girls pictures were all over the internet. They always have the perfect makeup, it looks sexy and simple. To achieve the pinup eyes, you will need to neutralize your eye shadow as much as you can and brighten up under your eyes with concealer. A thick winged eyeliner is best achieved with a really thin brush tip and cream based eyeliner. If you are a beginner with eyeliner, go for the fel tip easy eyeliners. Add thick fake lashes to complete the dramatic look, make sure to use good lash glue to avoid disasters while you are out.
