First ever Pakistani fashion show held in Seoul

SEOUL – The first ever Pakistani fashion show was held in Seoul in which the rich and diverse fashion of Pakistan was exhibited.

Pakistan's Ambassador to Seoul Zahid Nasrullah Khan inaugurated the show held at Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) said a message received here from North Korea on Monday. Executive Director and CEO of BNS Pakistan Bina Sultan was Pakistan's brand ambassador who exhibited her wide and rich range of Pakistani outfits and dresses that included Kashmiri embroidery digital printing of art works on fabrics and traditional bridal outfits.

The fashion show evinced keen interest from Korean public and was widely covered by the Korean print and electronic media. The fashion show surprised many Korean people as they were unaware that Pakistani fashion designers especially women were so creative and dynamic. Spouses of Korean Minister, high officials and envoys in Seoul were also treated to the fashion show that was earlier held at the residence of the ambassador on November 6.

The fashion show was one of the events that the Embassy of Pakistan in Seoul has held to create awareness about Pakistani culture and heritage in Korea.
