Ashutosh Gowarikar finds his next heroine in former beauty queen Pooja Hegde

Film- maker Ashutosh Gowarikar is known to be picky about casting his lead actress.

For his upcoming period epic Mohenjo Daro featuring Hrithik Roshan, the director has zeroed in on former beauty queen Pooja Hegde.
The film will mark Pooja's Bollywood debut.
After introducing new faces such as TV actress Gracy Singh in Lagaan and model Gayatri Joshi in Swades, Pooja is the latest newcomer to get a break in a Gowariker film.
"I am extremely happy to have found Pooja Hegde. She is very natural actress and has an elegance and poise that will make the character attractive and endearing. A certain degree of freshness would add to the love story," says Gowariker, who is busy with the post- production of the film.
Mohenjo Daro is scheduled to release in the last quarter of the year and is a story set during the Indus Valley Civilisation.
After being crowned Miss Universe India second runner- up in 2010, Pooja worked in films in the South for a while.

The Mumbai girl made her debut in Tamil film Mugamoodi opposite popular hero Jiva.

She plans to finish her other southern projects before starting shoot for Mohenjo Daro.

Meanwhile, Hrithik has completed shooting for Siddharth Anand's much- awaited action comedy Bang Bang! opposite Katrina Kaif. Bang Bang! opens on Gandhi Jayanti.
