Despite reports last month that Katy Perry and Diplo had broken up after just a few weeks of dating, a new source told Heat Magazine that while the pair "never split up, as they weren't really together," their "chemistry is off the charts."
The source added that the DJ "couldn't get on a plane fast enough when she called" and that Perry "really likes him."
Could this plane have been headed to... Jamaica?
The pair was rumored to have spent some time on vacation there during the first week of June, after they each posted photos of themselves on very similar-looking hammocks. Diplo ended up deleting the pic from his Twitter page, but not before several eagle-eyed fans caught the pic with a screengrab.
It's possible it was a coincidence, but we doubt Diplo would go so far as to erase the photo from his feed if it wasn't to try to keep his vacation with Perry out of the public eye.
There were rumors recently that Perry was getting cozy with Robert Pattinson, and not long before that it was reported she and Florence and the Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd had rekindled their romance from 2012.
This recent news about Diplo, though, leaves us wondering what he'll think about the songs she plans to write about her ex, John Mayer.
