Rani secretly married Uday’s elder brother Aditya Chopra in Italy in April this year and the only guests from the industry attending the ceremony included their close friends Karan Johar and Vaibhavi Merchant.
“They have got married and she’s part of our family. We have welcomed her and her family. She is certainly a homemaker,” Uday said in an interview on being asked about Rani.
He further added, “Our bonding has been great ever since we worked together in ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge’ and she is somebody whom I can always talk to. Today she is my bhabhi, and she always hopes that I really succeed in whatever I do. And of course she is my bhabhi now, but more than that she is my well-wisher.”
Uday, who has been seen in the ‘Dhoom’ franchise of his home banner Yash Raj Films (YRF), is currently looking after the Hollywood wing of YRF Entertainment. The film ‘Grace Of Monaco’ starring Nicole Kidman in the lead role is co-produced by Uday and is his first project which is released in Hollywood. ‘Grace Of Monaco’ was earlier premiered at the opening of the 67th Cannes Film Festival this year for which Uday had walked down the red carpet at the international film fest along with Nicole Kidman and others from the film. ‘Grace Of Monaco’ is scheduled to release in India on June 13.
